Premiere:

 Frédérique Cottier and Steve Hadley talk jumping with Philip ahead of tomorrow’s hotly anticipated final four. Sienna went out to the hippodrome to talk to some of the world’s best drivers about the marathon course. In the second part of the show Enrique Gonzalez, Darragh Kenny and Robert Splaine, chef d’équipe for the Irish team, came to pay us a visit.

WEG Chez Philip Talk Show Episode 12:  It is an antipodean episode today… Philip was joined by two Aussies to kick off – Edwina Tops-Alexander and the driver Boyd Exell. Sienna visited the Alltech Experience in the Games Village to learn all about animal nutrition from the experts themselves. Philip was also joined by the New Zealand vaulters – Catarina Strom and Lily Palmer – as well as NZ team manager Lyn McIntyre.

WEG Chez Philip Talk Show Episode 10:  First up, Team USA’s drivers – in the form of Chester Weber, Misdee Wrigley-Miller and Allison Stroud – sat down with Philip to discuss their chances. With Monday being a non-competition day, Sienna took the chance to see the sights and explore Caen. Also, the Japanese jumpers Taizo Sugitani (five-times an Olympian) and Tadahiro Hayashi came in to speak about their time being mentored by Ludger Beerbaum, and their chances in this week’s competition.

WEG Chez Philip Talk Show Episode 6:  Episode six features European, Olympic and World Champion Charlotte Dujardin. Patrik Kittel and his wife Lyndal Oatley also paid us a visit, and Sienna was up at the crack of dawn to report from the Endurance competition – won by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.

With over 20,000 spectators in the stands the opening ceremony for the 2014 Alltech FEI WEG gets underway in Normandy, France.

From FEI, “20,000 spectators in Caen’s D’ornano stadium were taken on an amazing journey through Norman and Equestrian history to celebrate the launch of 15 days of the greatest equestrian event in the world”.

To help curb, or fuel,  your excitement we are airing a special series produced by FEI called The Road To Normandy!  What is The Road To Normandy?  Here’s what FEI has to say about it:

 “The series documents the emotion and drama of the journey of different athletes to the Alltech FEI World Equestrian GamesTM 2014.

 Featuring sport, and both the human and equine stories behind it, we will witness relationships between horses, riders, grooms, owners and even the families of competitors; share their motivation, their highs and emotional lows that illustrate the unique values of equestrian sport.

Featuring athletes and teams from Australasia, North America, Scandanavia, Germany, the Middle East, Great Britain, The Benelux countries and France across the varied disciplines featured in Normandy, the series will present a unique view of the world’s best preparing for the ultimate competition for FEI gold.”

When?  The Road To Normandy series premier episode airs July 29, Tuesday at 10:30pm EST/9:30pm CT.  New episodes premier every Tuesday until September 2
